That is interesting comparison

If not QB, I want Thomas. I could also be on board with Jeudy. If the team continues predominantly with 11 personnel, the combo of Ross, Boyd, and Jeudy would be pretty appealing.
As for Dalton being gone after this season, I don't see that happening unless the Bengals draft a 1st round QB. Even if they do draft a 1st round QB, I could see Mike Brown wanting to "Carson Palmer" him by having him sit for his rookie year behind Dalton.
Chase Young is also very hard to pass up but I doubt they would go after another pass rusher. Maybe they would though to just boost the rush and also to replace Dunlap in a couple years.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Thomas may go #1 in overall draft. I do not think he will be there for Bengals. I wouldn't mind trading back and getting 2-3 more picks in rounds 2-3. But I do think they will go QB either round 1 or 2.

So Jalen Hurts. Someone to keep an eye on or just a product of Riley's system?
Everything in this post is my fault.

I like him. Need to see more though. I also really like Jacob Eason.

Assuming the Bengals are interested in drafting a QB high (and are in a position to), these seem to be the "cream of the crop" prospects.
Jalen Hurts
Joe Burrow
Justin Herbert
Tua Tagovailoa
These four guys have been very accurate so far this season, all while creating big plays and minimizing turnovers. The accuracy quality is the big draw for me. That's the one thing you can't teach. Of course, the only question is are these guys products of their respective systems? It's also worth noting that a lot of their successes come behind top-notch offensive lines. Barring a miraculous turnaround for our OL unit next off-season, that's one critical thing these guys wouldn't have coming here. So in addition to accuracy, perhaps the one thing we should be looking for is the ability to maneuver the pocket, escape pressure, and create plays on the run.

Hurts will be around late first early second. I think that's where the Bengals will draft their QB. Also dont count out Love from Utah State as a top 10 pick.

Are you predicting a trade-back or do you think the Bengals finish out the season well enough to be picking later?

I think Bengals will use round 1 pick for OT or LB. Round 2 will be their QB, Unless Tua is there and that is their guy. I really think Burrow and Hurts and even Eason can help any team at the next level. But I have been wrong before...

I only want Burrow.
Otherwise, I'm grooming Dolegala.

Team is FAR from loaded, though they aren't bad by any stretch.
They changed their OC and offensive mindset and this is the result.
He always had it in him.

I think they draft Defense (top 10 or 5) then move up from early second to late 1st to draft a QB.

Eason will stay another year in Washington I bet. He has had two bad games against USC and Cal.

Love his pocket awareness and he's not afraid to take a hit. He's got some attitude in him and I like it a lot.

In years of strong QB classes, QB always goes 1st overall in the draft.
This year is a strong QB class.
Honestly, the Bengals might be able to get away with drafting a franchise QB in the 2nd.

Or pulling a Baltimore and trading UP to get back into the tail-end of the 1st round after already making a selection in the Top 10?
Now THAT would be a welcome surprise!

Remember, Urban Meyer started JT Barrett over Dwayne Haskins and Joe Burrow.

Besides Tua, Chase Young is probably ahead of all the other QB's. He's got 8 sacks and 8 1/2 TFL thru 5 games. Drawing comparisons to Garrett.
