A.J. Green Out Longer Than Reported 6 to 8 Weeks

The two are nothing alike, outside of they are both talented.
Tiger What I meant was I don't think AJ will stay here for any amount of money. Ala Johnathon Joseph.  AJ wants to play for a winner before he's done.

Just my opinion...

Can't say I blame him if he was to leave. He has sacrificed his body for years here and has absolutely nothing to show for it, the guy is a class act and I'd love to see him for to KC or LA or even...New England to get a ring or a chance for a ring before he hangs it up.

He has all the talent in the world to be mentioned as better than AB and even Julio Jones, but playing here has held him back, be nice to see him on a team that was run correctly.

Well, there is video of Green working out before the game and he looked pretty good. There are also reports that he wants to be healthy because it's a contract year.

You can read into that statement what you want...but presumably not getting injured again is more important if he was going to test the free agency waters.

He might as well wait as right now the blocking is so bad it doesn't matter who the WR is - there is no time to let routes develop.

60 million on his current contract and 89 million total is nothing?

So you think EVERY time Dalton drops back there is no time?

It's bad playcalling. The team needed to run Mixon and Bernard more. Get 2nd and 6 or 2nd and 5. Then playaction. Instead they pass, pass, pass.

You see how many times Tomlin was chuckling on the sideline. He was thinking this is too easy the coach across from me has no clue!

Basically the Steelers ran college offense and defense schemes.

You know why we did good against Seattle? No tape of what we were doing. Now that teams have seen it, they can stop it and ZT is clueless to adjust.

If I were him, the injury would be lingering season long. Would you blame him ? Dalton could get him killed.

It's honestly deteriorated to such a point that I'm genuinely not sure if AJ will even want to re-sign here. I'm legit waiting for the news to drop any day now.

"Green to play out contract with Bengals, will test free agency."
Everything in this post is my fault.

Maybe Mike Brown will elect to test free agency with another team. You know fans everywhere are just clamoring to have Mikey as their team's owner. Everyday we hear from NE fans, "Gee, I wish Kraft would sell the team to Bengals owner Mike Brown!"  What fan base wouldn't want to have a team owned by the great Mike Brown?
Yup, there would definitely be a bidding war for Mike Brown's services if team owners could opt for free agency!  Mellow

Yup, I know.. You're convinced too, huh?

Money isn't everything.

The guy has the talent to be a HOFer and win a super bowl, that will not happen stuck here.

Honestly, IF he was drafted by a team like the Falcons, he probably puts up better stats and is in the HOF. He won't be a HOFer here.

No doubt.

If he goes to Atlanta and we have Julio Jones, A.J. is a sure fire HOFer and Julio Jones is already moved on to another team. Julio's outspoken side would have lead to him not signing an extension and going to FA.

No doubt. There's a certain type of player that we end up extending here.

Guys like AJ, Carlos, and Geno are all great players and good people...but none are really outspoken leaders who will rock the boat.

No... Guys like AJ Green, Julio Jones, AB, DeAndre Hopkins etc etc don't win Super Bowls... They get paid. So money is everything. Teams that devote that kinda money to a top receiver don't win Super Bowls.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

Dunlap spoke up when they were letting Whitworth and others walk. I don't think Geno talks at all, and AJ is pretty low key.

Trade him. He's one of the few pieces we have to get something out of if we are going to rebuild through the draft. Trade him to NE let him get that ring.

Signal the all out tank.
