and I don't think ZT is a good enough playcaller to design an offense for keap...
This team doesn't need any distractions till they can figure out how to win.
Agreed....
The stadium is a ghost town as is too. Bringing him here will make it worse too.
I felt different last year when we had 5 wins, and Driskel was sucking it up all over the field though.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

My issue is this: Colin Kaepernick has been out of the league as long as Peyton Manning.

The dude is 32 years old. He has no future here. Now if I were a team such as Carolina or Denver and still had a chance of making the playoffs I'd give it a try. As to the kneeling.. take it to PnR

- What he did wasn't "wrong" or against the law. There is a ton of hypocrisy on this subject, starting with the fact that this country was born out of protestation and in your face rebellion.
From that perspective, what he did was as American as it gets. Besides that, how many fans at the stadium or at home aren't paying attention or respecting the anthem when it's playing? But, a couple of black dudes do it in the name of police brutality and all of a sudden people are grasping at their pearls? F that!
Where he completely lost me was the pig socks he wore. I felt like lumping every member of law enforcement into what a few people did is exactly the type of stereotyping he was fighting against.
Side note: I was 2 feet away from Mr. "Great American" himself, Bill Cunningham, at a Reds opening day a few years ago at a WLW party on the Reds party deck that I was invited to. Through the ENTIRE anthem Bill was sat down, already wasted, and yelling at the top of his lungs for Seg Dennison to come over and see something funny on his phone. That is 100% truth and no BS. Did anyone say anything to him? Nope!
That doesn't mean I agree with Kaep's stance, just that I agree with his right to do it. I also agree with his employer's right to fire or not rehire him although, technically, he fired himself when he opted out of his own contract.... a fact swept under the rug by the media.
- I hear people say "other" or "better" ways all the time. Be specific. What ways would be better, further conversation, keep the issue in the public eye, etc. etc.? I would say his venue and form of protest couldn't have been more strategic as far as protests go. Was it productive? Not sure how to quantify that. But, it is still being talked about years later.
How's occupy Wallstreet going in terms of progress or notoriety? It's not, because nobody cares. Why? Because it was out of the public eye in an area most of the country doesn't see.
Hate his message, fine. I get it. But the method and timing was spectacular and as American as it gets, IMO.
Damn! Well Said.

He’s out of the NFL for two reasons. Poor performance and creating a toxic work environment for employers. No employer wants a person that upsets customers and isn’t very good on the job.

Game day photos of attendance around the league say otherwise. A lot of the empty seats are season ticket holders unable to off load via StubHub. Empty seats even at Steelers, Green Bay and Ravens.

Then why's Bobby Hart still in the league?

Guess they are trying to chase fans away. If they sign this punk I’m done being a fan
Joe Mixon decked a girl that weighs a hundred pounds less than him. Rey Mauluga drinks too much, then gets behind the wheel. Rey also drinks too much and assaults bar patrons and staff.
You ready for this one?.... Pacman Jones was arrested several times while a member of the Tennessee Titans. He assaulted strippers, and was involved in an altercation that left a man PARALYZED. He then goes to Dallas where Jerry Jones hires a babysitter to keep him outta trouble. Pacman gets in a fight with said babysitter in the pisser... Mike Brown signs the guy. While he's here he assaults at least 2 women, spits on police, and contributes to one of the most epic meltdowns in sports history. He has since been arrested in an Indiana casino, and been in a fight in an airport.
You good with all that?
You ain't going anywhere anyway... So stop.

Colin is good enough to be a part of a roster but I just don't believe that he wants to be an NFL QB. Quite Frankly he is 1000 times more popular and Marketable now then when he was in the NFL.

Let's say people were shooting dolphins and I didn't agree with it, but I was a multi-millionaire. Am I allowed to protest that people are shooting dolphins?
Regardless, he's an old version of Lamar Jackson. He went to the superbowl and threw for 300 yards. He's better than anything else out there on the bench.
Raising awareness and controversy go hand in hand in many cases. This is not a good post, you are misinformed.
Protesting or insulting the customers?
If the customers feel insulted you're gonna get fired and rightfully so.
Protesting is usually done on one's own time at a location where something has occurred. And what exactly does insulting the country have to do with awareness on a issue? The country is not the problem. If there's an issue somewhere, then go there and protest, on your own time.
I doubt that he's better than anything out there. If he were the best out there, then he wouldn't need the NFL to set up a workout for him.

If he gets signed and then comes out in a Bengals uniform and kneels during the national anthem, then my Bengal fandom is over. That will be the last day.
My uncle died in Vietnam four days before his 21st birthday and came home with our flag draped over his coffin, and that is what I think about whenever anyone kneels during the anthem. So my mind is not changing.

Actually we should be hoping the Bengals sign him so we all have an excuse to switch to being Steeler fans

The Bengals could hire Adolph Hitler and I still wouldn't be a Steeler fan.

He wasn't protesting the country or the flag.

False. He didn't lose the starting job before he began his protest.
