THE DRAFT NETOWRK MOCK! Traded back with lions for 1st and 2nd. Went back to back cb late to get the sims types out of our organization. Focus on pass rush early.
13: Wyatt Davis IOL osu: best IOL in this class and being called the best IOL since nelson. Easy pick here.
39: Hamilcar rashad jr edge Oregon state: a really really good 3-4 de/olb prospect with a ton of snaps at both de and stand up rusher. Lightning quick first step and elite length. Great pass rusher.
45: Chris olave wr osu: a silky smooth route runner who wins in a variety of ways. He’s another great separation wr who separates with route running.
71: jaylen twyman IDL pit: the ad complaint are there and it’s not just Bc he’s a dt from pitt. We get our geno replacement.
108: rashad weaver de pitt: pitt has 3 outstanding dlineman this year and we get 2 of them. Weaver falls due to concerns medically as well as possibly being just a pass rush specialist. Carl Lawson mold?
147: Tyler vrabel: titans hc son. We get a backup ot that can develop into a damn good tackle. Has all the tools.
184: olaijah griffin: let’s get sims off this team
228: ambry Thomas: I love me Thomas. Need to add weight but he’s a good cb that can develop.
242: zack mcloud: we finally complete our lb rebuild.

First thanks for putting in the time and effort.. solid job.. My opinion is, I also like to trade back but would but would take Alex Leatherwood from Bama then come back in 3rd round and pick another stud from Bama in Deonte Brown. Prefer Bama lineman over OSU , we have had bad luck with OSU..

I'd trade down and try to get two mid-first rounders. OL, DE are in serious need.

I really like leatherwood but Leatherwood been sliding.... also feel IOL is bigger need than tackle. I feel like adeniji had proven he’s a good tackle. Wyatt is legit: the osu lineman all had questions.. diva is as can’t miss as they come. Called the best guard since nelson.

Not sold on Adenji, Hart had above avg PFF grades this season and was grading better than all tackles before he was hurt , still think Tackles are more important and are thin in draft.. I remember draft experts saying Price was a cant miss center when we drafted him. Even if we go wyatt we need another Olineman in 2 or 3 round if believe Burrow is the most important person to us winning

I like a lot of what you have, but I'm not familiar with Griffin, Thomas, and McCloud. That's fine though, they are late rounders lol.
Davis makes a ton of sense if they want to put a stud draft pick at RG for 5 years vs having a mid-tier veteran like XSF or Spain. We may have to accept though that Davis may be just like Zeitler and leave in FA because the FO may not want to pay an OG that much.
The pass rushers you have all make sense to me.
Olave would be a sound choice, although I think he won't excite many people because he doesn't have elite measurables. What he does have though is great route running, which allows him to get his separation.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
Sorry for Party Rocking!

After Price and MJ, plus Elflein just getting cut by the Vikes, I am steering clear of Ohio State IOL.
Olave isn't the burner we need on the outside. Given his frame, I think he's a slot WR in the NFL and we already have Boyd. I'd be ok with him as a Day 3 depth pick up, but not in 3.
And seriously, 2 OSU guys plus the son of a former OSU guy?

Olave is a outside wr. He more tha. Likely will be gone by end of rd1, but if he falls in scooping him up all day. I went bpa. Davis is the best guard since nelson, olave an elite route running wr.

Tackle is very deep this year to me, more than IOL. Furthermore, adeniji shut down dupree all game. 81% pass rush win rate and appeared to play even better than that. Spain played very well on watt as well. But assuming he is at guard, u got Wyatt at other guard, Hopkins at center. Very strong IOL with Jonah at LT and adeniji at rt.

Who do those last 4 play for? (I don't have the time to memorize all the college players, like I used to)
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Ohio State IOL are the new Texas A&M OT's. Scouting reports are great, but they don't pan out. We've gone to that well twice and been burned both times. Whether it's scheme, level of competition, or both, they haven't been as advertised. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
You need size and/or speed to cut it on the outside in the NFL. Olave has neither. He's a great route runner, but he's topped out physically and has little to no upside. He's also never been terribly productive and he doesn't fit what we need at WR.

PFF had him at 60% .. Hart has graded higher most of year. More flexiblry at guard , normally more guards in FA. I say draft the anchor on RT to go with William's and we hopefully are set at the most important positions to protect Burrow in future

I need size or speed? Jeudy has neither. Neither does Riggs. Route running is all u need. Furthermore olave will run a low 4.4, faster than either Jeudy or diggs... also u mention production. Ohio state rotates 6 guys regularly... no one has great production. Look at micheal Thomas stats at osuPoint is this. Route running over any other trait.
Now as far as oline. Price was a miss yes. We took the 3rd best center in that class who had physical limitations. Davis has no physical limitations and is the unanimous best Iol in his class and beating heralded as the next great one. Scout the jersey not the school. Mj. Really factor into this as he was a day 3 pick who was extremely young and we were banking on upside. He’s got a 58 grade which is substantially better than his rookie year so he seems to be improving. Remember he won’t even turn 23 until next year. He’s got a future here. But Davis will be a damn good iol. Best guard to come out since Nelson. He has no glaring weakness. No physical limitations.

Yeah I think he’s played better than his pff grade... he had a pass rush win rate of 81% against the Steelers. I think we should attack the team sbiggest weakness which to me has been iol, roll with Hakeem next year at rt and fix our glaring pass rush issues early this draft. If Hakeem doesn’t work out at rt next year U move on and draft a rt high. If they’re was a tackle equivalent to the talent of Davis I’d go tackle. But it’s a major drop off from Davis to leatherwood. That’s why I’d prefer to go iol.

I'll wait and see about Davis. I think he's a solid all around guard with no big weakness, but have also read he doesn't really have any special qualities either. If he's a Q Nelson type prospect, go ahead and grab him. If he's not at that level, there are some interior O-Line prospects and big RT types who could project to G who may be about as good in round 2. Then you can grab a pass rusher in the first.

Olave was clocked at 4.73 at the Nike Combine in '18. He also hasn't grown an inch since then, so he was physically mature at that time or very close to it. The scouting services I follow don't expect him to break 4.5. Diggs and Jeudy are both 4.46 guys, meaning they have speed.
Dude, don't pimp an Ohio State guy in the 1st every year, then give a take like "Scout the jersey, not the school". Last year, it was pass on Burrow for Young and the year before that it was Haskins. Some services still have Creed Humphrey rated higher and I haven't seen anyone compare him to Nelson. With a first round pick especially, you take all available information into account. You don't ignore a steady stream of busts from the same position group from the same school.
