Hue Jackson for Steelers' OC?
#1
Saw this posted a few places this morning. Would be interesting. Steelers football always felt like powerhouse ball and Hue always struck me as more of a finesse/speed offense guy. Not going to lie that I wouldn't be too excited to see Hue's offense twice a year after knowing what he did in Cincy.

I think Matt Canada is their guy. They brought him in last year as a QB coach and it was my impression that he was there for Rudolph.

Hue has the craziest formations allowed.. .to the point it confused the refs lol..

Im sure he could get something out of haskins even if it was a specialist role.

Not excited about hue being an OC for the steelers though.

People will trash the dude for his time with the browns but i very much remember his seasons here as OC

I don't think he's a good HC at all, but he did well directing the offense.  Creative and interesting.

That would put Hue on staff of every AFCN team.

Surprisingly, I thought Haskins would sign in Jacksonville as their "veteran who knows the system"

He was brought here as the QB coach when we drafted Flacco and stayed for 2 or 3 years. The team spoke highly of him but then again that goes for everybody.

I really do think Hue helped Flacco who was a project out of Delaware and made the AFC championship his first year. This should be a good hire for the Steelers if they find a good, young QB. They have to draft a talented guy though, an OC can only help so much.

He was the QB coach for a few years.  I think he left there to go to Oakland...

The thing that really stuck out to me with Hugh is that he is a great motivator which is a good trait in a coach. He was probably a decent OC because of that as well.

Yeah I've noticed that from afar, glad you mentioned it. Those Ravens teams relied on defense and it's easy to downplay Flacco's role because he wasn't very good in 08-09. But Hue was always in his ear and seemed very calming. People forget that Flacco didn't even play Division One football, he had a ton to learn. This is a good hire for the Steelers.
