Is Trae Waynes a possible cut?
#22
Cutting him today would create a dead cap of 12M and only 3.8M in cap savings. For better or worse, he'll be on the team this year.

After the 2021 season, however, cutting him from the final year of the deal would cost the Bengals 5M in dead cap and would give them 11M in cap savings. So, I think this is his make or break year.

If he is injury prone and/or ineffective in 2021, I would expect him to be cut and then the Bengals could use that 11M in savings to go find a new starting CB. Or they could draft one in the 2022 draft.
