PFF graded the Bengals draft last year as #1 in the league (Based on drafted players playing time). So, I guess that's where everyone has the trust that they can draft good players in rounds 2-5 again.
Even though I'd want the Bengals to draft either Sewell or Chase and would be heartbroken if they didn't, I'd still understand if they could find trade partners this year and draft a whole bunch of OL, DL and WRs for the future of the franchise.
If they traded down twice in the 1st round, and gained a few more #2s and 3s, I'm down with that.
They could get an OL, DE, and WR in the 2nd round, which is filled with those positions or whoever they think are the best available players throughout. They are still shorted talent and depth and need both desperately.
Along those lines, I'm also down to trade Gio for any extra draft pick at this point. He's been a great Bengal, but his salary and age are a problem now.
