I can easily see them taking Chase #1 and then going OL in rd2 then defense in rd3.
Yep.
Here is who the projected starters are right now, and they may be "ok" with it.
QB - Burrow
RB - Mixon
TE - Uzomah/Sample
WR - Boyd (slot), Higgins, Tate
OT - Williams, Reiff
OG - Spain, XSF
C - Hopkins (Price until he's back)
DE - Hubbard, Hendrickson
DT - Reader, Ogunjobi
LB - Wilson, Pratt
CB - Waynes, Awuzie, Hilton (slot)
S - Bell, Bates
Out of that group, the players who need replaced most are (arguably) in order:
- Tate
- RG (Spain and XSF are both better fits at LG)
- LG
- TE? (This moves down if Uzomah looks like he did Week 1)
Then you have worry about future replacements/improvements for:
- RT
- 3T (based on Ogunjobi's performance and willingness to stay)
- LB (if Wilson and/or Pratt don't improve much)
- C
- LT? (depends on Williams staying healthy and improving)
- DE
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
