But players getting released and re-signed at a cheaper salary happens all the time. Most recent example is Carlos Dunlap re-signing with Seattle.
It would likely depend on what he gets in open market. If he gets more than he would get here, then he’s gone. However, if no one will pay him much, he may not see it worth it picking up and moving. But I see him being a big benefit to a contender like even a Tampa.
