I'm not saying I disagree with what McGee said, but I reiterate that he's a bitter, angry person.
There's being critical of the team and then there's constantly taking shots, every opportunity you get.
He is the latter, not the former; his name popped up on the interview/podcast circuit, for the first time last year (do correct me if I'm wrong) and he has been nothing but incessantly negative about a guy he probably knows very little.
If he had gotten into the higher coaching ranks after retiring or moved around from place to place, honing his craft, I can see him coming from a place of experience and knowledge, but the tone and negative nature of his criticism of Zac is interpreted by me (it may be wrong, just my POV) as that he just doesn't like the guy for whatever reason.
Therefore, until he gets away from the Elise Jesse School of hyper-negativity and bashing, I'm not taking a word he says seriously, as he comes off as a bitter, angry, old man.
