I thought Sample was a trade back, not up. From what I remember, they were hoping someone like Taylor, Risner, or Little dropped to them, but they didn't, so the Bengals traded back and got Sample later in the 2nd.

EDIT - Yes, that is what happened. They were picking at 42 but missed out on their target, so they traded back to 52 and took Sample.
