I'm a huge fan of the McPherson pick, but I don't like when people pull the ol' "coach knows more than you" card. For one, we may as well shut the board down if we just agree with every move the Bengals make. Secondly, people only use this when it's convenient. When they like a move and want to justify it.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
