It makes it more difficult to defend the pass, keeps the chains moving, eats the clock, sets the tone, allows your defense more time to rest, and allows you to control the game/pace of play.
Not to mention we are in a division with: Lamar Jackson, Kareem Hunt, and Nick Chubb. Pittsburgh will probably field a good rushing attack between Harris and Snell. Being gutted by the run in this division is a non-starter.
