But that's what happens when you decide to drastically change the defensive scheme. Most players that worked in one scheme don't typically do as well in a different one.

Which is why it's so encouraging to see the Bengals completely purge their defense to go all-in on the great DC Lou Anarumo's scheme. Certainly won't have to do this all over again when they hire an actual competent DC in a year or two.
