Something that was really apparent last night

But Jim Nance was very strong in his praise for Dalton.  Simms finally told him "Give it up.  You are not going to win this argument until Dalton wins a playoff game."  As much as we all hate to hear it this is the truth.  Our failure in the playoffs is historic.  There is no way they are not going to mention it.  

Matt Ryan went through the same thing in Atlanta even though he was winning more games and putting up better passing numbers than Dalton.  After he finally won a playoff game he was considered a top QB even when he was not playing as well as he was before he won a playoff game.

I wonder how differently Dalton would have been perceived had his lone playoff appearance had been the lost to SD?  It isn't like this team was expected to reach the playoffs the last 4 years.
