Andy Reid is a great coach but he has NEVER had a QB like Patrick.
A great HC drafts a QB in the top 10 and puts him in a great system and has him develop slowly and intelligently behind a grade A mentor? That's by the book football, right there. The Chiefs handled Mahommes the right way and the way he needed to be handled and the Bills are doing the same thing with Josh Allen.
A QB in a good system being developed in an intelligent way isn't insane, it's ideal. They took high upside guys who needed to be handled with care and that's what you do when you can't be bothered to go 1-15 every time you need a new QB. I'm not ragging on us, just saying that the first QB off the board hasn't been the most successful of his class all that often in the modern era of football.
