Like I said, I was all about the Sewell hype (way before the “Civil War” stuff started), but I just saw too many good arguments about the value of an elite WR over a single elite OT (look up the WAR for the top guys at each position if you don’t believe me). And I agreed that there would some great options for us in the 2nd at OL (which there were).
I said all along, I would have been more than happy had we taken Sewell (or Pitts had he been there), but I got stuck defending taking Chase because of all of the pushback from the OL or bust crowd. Once I heard that Burrow wanted Chase (and he’s the one that has to go out there and play behind our OL), it was a wrap.
Oh, don't get me wrong. I have no problem with your view and changing your mind. Just when people post claims like, "I was saying such and such for so long," I have a habit of checking it out. Just out of my own interest. Sometimes the claims are correct and sometimes they are not. Usually I just don't even post about it when I find someone's claim was untrue. Just like when some here posts stats to support their argument and I look them up and they are incorrect or cherry picked from a larger sample of statistics to try to make a point (you might be surprised how often that happens). I usually just keep it to myself because I don't like to argue here.
I wasn't trying to attack you and your point of view. I only brought this up because I was interested in your 2019 claim about Sewell so looked it up. During that I found your predication about Burrow which happened to come true unfortunately. So I thought it was interesting and thus the ninja face which I though meant kind of joking or kidding around. Maybe I misunderstand that emoji.
