I think they should be too, but the thing about taking the 1st QB or 1st pick in any sense is knowing that you "coulda had" anyone else in that draft. John Ross was bad...he was also taken before Patrick Mahommes. Ken O'Brien was a good pick...but he was taken before Dan Marino.
If Burrow wins and is awesome then no harm, but if Herbert ends up being better than Burrow it's going to be "The Bengals shoulda traded down and they'd have Herbert and all of Miami's draft picks." Believe me, I lived in Chicago and they never got over the fact that they took Cedric Benson at #4 when they "COULDA" traded down and taken Aaron Rodgers.
I'm just recognizing the argument that could possibly be out there. We watched the Bengals have a successful turn around when they got AJ Green and then got Dalton in round 2 while guys like Ponder, Gabbert, and Locker went earlier and were worse. Such is life.
