To answer your question, there is no situation where you go for it on your own 5. Teams are going to see their expected points go up if they are more aggressive on fourth down and that was a situation that numbers will say “go-for-it”.
Sorry but no. If they would have gotten it I would have been relieved. You NEVER go for it in your own territory when a failure immediately puts the other team in scoring range. You just don't do that. I don't care what the "analytics" say, some things are just common sense
