Also, MB honored a contract this year to Leon Hall (clearly overpaid at 9.6 million cap hit) so he has ammo on his side honoring bad contracts for the team, it should work both ways.
I don't see AD as the kind of guy to destroy the team's capability to pay others for the team roster to stay strong, but I could be wrong
Obviously no one is saying he is going to want a giant raise or hold out nor have I ever said that in this thread...... But I could see a reworking of the current contract to further decrease his cap hit while paying him more money since in essence Andy is on a pay as you play contract and honestly I do not think any QBs are happy about those.
And even with some FAs needing to be signed this year the Bengals should still have enough money to make a little gift a reality.
Tom Brady's salary and hit this year is small because thats the way his deal was structured as it reaches the end kind of like how everyone was making more money than Eli/Rivers/Rothlisburger at the end of their last deals.
