I had to bump this thread, friends. It isn't me taking a victory lap, and this thread kind of derailed to an "Is Uzomah a good TE", which we have seen he can be a very big asset when leaned on.
I just thought it was interesting how so many of the things that gave me optimism are still there, and how Fred actually nailed it with the one big question mark: The coaching. I don't mean to get caught up in the hyperbole of what was the greatest steeler beat down I have ever witnessed, but the coaches have things really looking solid.
They seem to have such diversity on offense. They can beat you so many ways. The defense is doing a TON of different formations, the 3 safety look, that gives even the most veteran QBs a bit of pause and that gives the line a moment longer to get home.
It is only through 11 games, but with 4 of the next 6 at home, the offense handing out 30 burgers to almost everyone, and the defense being able to be ranked 6th to this point in points allowed. This is crazy exciting.
I will leave with this (and hope everyone will comment): Before the Browns game, Joe was mic'd up, or maybe it was the player he was talking to, and he simply said: "If we can win this division, we can win it all". He's damn right.
