Where is the Improvement with giving up Sacks
#24
Play calling and the QB himself can factor into sacks, not just the OL performance.
If the Bengals called more of a WCO, it could result in Burrow getting the ball out quicker and therefore sacked less.
Burrow also has had a tendency at times to hold onto the ball too long waiting for receivers to get open or waiting for the bigger play when a shorter route is there or run the ball.
As a whole though, I see this OL better than last year. There might be up to 4 spots in the offseason that need addressed though, depending on:
- Will Hopkins return to form?
- Is Adeniji good enough?
- Will Spain and/or Reiff re-sign?
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!
