That logic failed miserably in the opening drive of the 2nd half. They went run for 5, run for 3, then run for about 1. Punted because of a quick 3 & out.
This is a bizarre way of trying to defend this horrible grapefruit of a coach we have, but regardless, the logic fails. It was hideous play calling. He’s awful.
