I was just old enough to learn the game and like you was excited about the Bengals: the helmets, lefty QB Boomer, Ickey, and one of my favs was Eddie Brown. I'll support your extra shitty comment since you live in enemy territory. I sort of relate. I'm a Miami grad it was so painful to Big Ben get drafted by the Steelers (mind you, this was before his disgusting behavior toward women was known). I was proud Miami had a stud QB make it to the pros but so, so, so disappointed he went to the Steelers.
I assume the "don't question my passion for the Bengals" was meant for someone else or "you" in the general sense? I don't recall questioning you?????? My bad if so.
I really loved fulcher. I played safety because of him. Also played RB, but my love was safety.. Love to hit.. Got thrown out in my first game for 3 helmet to helmet hits in midgets lol. The coach wasn't even mad at me, loved the passion just helped my try to fix it, which I never really could. It's hard to control it when you got that shot and everything's moving so fast.. I could never keep my head up. It just doesn't feel natural, and to me could get you hurt worst..
