Yesterday my estimation of and respect for Zac Taylor increased. That’s saying a lot because I’m still of the opinion Taylor should be on the hot seat pending a postseason win. In mathematical language I still think it’s time to truncate this Taylor Series at the third order term.
However, something I saw yesterday gives me pause. Zac never took his foot off the gas and kept the Bengals’ offense in aggressive mode until the final minute of the game. I really didn’t believe Zac had it in him to put the team’s knee on the Ravens’ chest and dictate terms.
For me Zac Taylor’s ability to prepare the Bengals to play the Chiefs will be the test I need to see. This will be the biggest game Zac has ever faced as head coach.
