But whether it be in the news, a court room or a chat room, that one replay will represent his condition. It's not entirely accurate to boil down a career of hits to just one, but this stands out from any other player. As you said, this hit was the clear line when his behavior turned. And it happened in the prime of his career while he was still a top performer and heavily involved with media and social media.
Every other confirmed cause pretty much followed the Mike Webster model of making through the NFL relatively normal and then getting depression, mania and dementia 10 years later when no one is paying attention. I know Chris Henry was diagnosed at 26, but his behavior was more in-line with being a drunk idiot then CTE. It's hard to measure how much CTE played a role with him because he seemed perfectly normal when sober and focused on football.
Really good point about it happening sooner and in the public eye, so we're seeing it play out. All other players managed to be hidden in the obscurity of retirement. We have second hand accounts of what happened to Webster. With Brown its all over the internet every time he goes from mania to depression.
