I kind of agree, but it wasn't for lack of trying. They invested a ton into the o-line. Willie got old and Levi got injured. I'd say by 2009-10 it was pretty solid again.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
