First, Carson states that what Joe maybe thinking after this season in that he has a ton of leverage in order for him to re-sign. You neglect on purpose I think to write to help build the team around him including Chase, Higgins, Oline, etc, because he would want 7 Championships.

Second of Joe is still under contract for the next two years. The team has an option year with the 5th year. The team and Joe can't negotiate until I believe after the 3rd year. This would be Joe's 2nd year. 

But please tell me the minute and second where Carson uses YOUR keyword leave??
