The last two offseasons have had a LOT of free agent spending, none of which qualifies as dumpster diving. Instead we signed players still in or approaching their prime who a) fit the scheme, b) high character and c) from winning programs. The defense was COMPLETELY retooled in the process and the expenditure was huge, FAR over the cap floor.
