You almost have to give him the 1 year extension if you plan to let him coach in 2015. Having him try to coach in the final year with the lame duck status doesn't help at all. I'm as ready as anyone to move on from Marvin, but if he is going to coach this year, the extension had to be done to give him a chance to compete.
