I absolutely do not want Spain back under any cirmcumstance. When he had to face good D lines in the playoffs he was horrible and let the team down. Bengals last play of the Super Bowl and Burrow needs just a little time to make that throw on 4th down. Spain whiffed again like he had done all of the playoffs. Game Over. Is this they type of player we want to rely on next season on the O-line? Get rid of him and his post season 46.1 PFF. Its crazy to think Spain is predicted to make near 5 million per year on his next contract when the Bengals could sign Conner Williams for just a little more at 6.7 million per year.
At Center Hopkins is going to make 7.1 million with a cap hit of about 6 million. There is no reason to keep Hopkins when you could get Bozeman and Jones for similar money and Karras for less.
Both Spain and Hopkins should be replaced as it wouldnt cost the team much more to upgrade those spots vs keeping Spain and Hopkins.
