Well I'm not in charge of the dictionary; I just try to use the words in it according to their meaning.

Selfish: "concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one's own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others"

What LC did was selfish; that's a fact. Opinion comes in when we opine whether it was "right or wrong".
