They're not "over drafting" anything, just being prudent and preparing for the future.
One of the highest paid safety duos? Because we tagged Bates and can't reach an agreement with him. If that qualifies for highest paid safety duos it feels like a technicality. Two years ago LB was a need we draft 3 and last year DE was a need we draft 3. Now this year S is a need and we draft 2. Just made worse by the fact one is a 1st rounder and we sacrificed 2 picks along the way. Not trying to argue and I'm sure I'll come around on the draft.
