We are the hunted but I don't think it's as big of an issue for players as it is for fans. Players try to win every game regardless. To a large extent their livelihoods are at stake every night. I really don't think external pressure makes much of a difference once the whistle is blown.
But I'm honored to be in this position. And I think we deserve all the praise, and you'd better believe we'll be favored in the majority of the games. Now, how do we prevent ourselves from believing our own press clippings? I'm not entirely sure. But that's a job for the leadership of this team- namely Joe Burrow. That's why he is who he is, and that's why I'm not worried. We may look like the hunted in May, but once September gets here we'll be hunting again. Joe Burrow will see to it. Great teams are led by alphas who keep the pedal to the metal.
