I think Burkhead should have got more touches. 

Hue Jackson commented that they were surprised how well Burkhead ran routes when they needed him to play WR.  This, despite having the fastest short shuttle time in his entire draft class.  The Pats must have agreed because they found a role for him as a 3rd down/rotational back.  So, no, the coaches don't always know everything.  Marvin stuck with vets WAY too long when they weren't producing and didn't have a competitive environment for their spots.
