And lots of great athletes have found time to talk about something other than their sport. Bill Russell and Kareem Abdul-Jabar were outspoken political activists and they won 17 NBA Championships. Roger Staubach and Kurt Warner made time to talk about their religious beliefs and they won 3 Super Bowls.
