But at the end of the day confidence and comfort is key.

Dalton has always been the same player for sure but at the same time there is a lot to be said about becoming comfortable and loose and letting his drive and personality come through
in his performance.

It has made a difference in the way he has handled adversity on the field for sure.  And honestly I think the sometimes toxic environment created by our own fans and the media has sharpened him quite a bit.

Steel forged by fire if you will.

AD has always been a solid QB.  It takes time to progress as an NFL QB. He made huge strides in 2013, in 2014 they were decimated by injuries at key positions.  It's now year 5 and he is the same QB, only has grown from a leadership standpoint because he is becoming one of the gray beards in the room and the young guys around him have gotten better.

We are very lucky to have AD leading this team.  He is still young and going to continue to grow.  The Bengals knew it all along, the fans not so much because many want the lightning-in-a-bottle scenario that rarely pans out.  And when it does it usually doesn't last long. Just ask the 49'ers and Redskins!
