I think the Bengals have numbers in mind, total contract with guaranteed money. My guess and simply a guess is they want to sign him long term. I hope the 2 sides come to an agreement or they allow Bates to seek a trade. I don't want him anymore on the franchise tag, long term or let him walk in my opinion.
But again, I hope we sign him t a 5 year deal that makes bth sides happy.
