People also forget Marvin and Palmer both went to Mike Brown and threatened to walk away after 2010 if changes weren't made.  Mike Brown prior to that was the definition of bad stability.  Somewhere between a new QB and HC every year and giving Dave Shula 100 times more rope than he needed to hang himself sounds optimal.
