The Bengals were also 2-7-1 with Burrow as the starter, and 2-6 without him. So the idea that they would have won more games and not had a chance to take Chase is hardly any kind of guarantee or even a strong likelihood.
Brady tore his MCL and ACL in 2007(?) like Burrow did and he's still playing at age 60.
I know he's outside of the norm and a freak of nature, but medical treatments have also advanced a lot since then.
Having him getting injured while he was still young and where it wouldn't be as devastating, which allowed us to get a receiver that could pair with him to be one of the best, if not the best, quarterback-receiver duos of all-time was definitely lucky.
You're right that it's not a guarantee, and our division was strong that year, but you have to think that Burrow would have won us even more games because we also had a shitty line last year and he took us to the Super Bowl (I know we wouldn't have even made the playoffs, but we most likely would have won more games).
