I had part of my intestine removed due to diverticulitis. It was done laparoscopically. Hurt like hell for a week, then the pain gradually subsided. The intestine actually heals almost immediately. He should have no problem making game 1, but I would not expect to see him in the pre-season, which is totally fine with me.
