I know it's one punt and all, but he displayed leg strength in droves while in college. Not sure if it was something personal with him, but it's hard to believe even in retrospect he was the third punter drafted. If it was his hang time that was a concern, rumor has it there are special teams coaches on every team.
Good for Araiza, but is this supposed to imply that Araiza was undervalued and should have been drafted earlier?
He has a big leg, sure. And he's a fantastic punter.
But the reality is most teams prioritize offensive or defensive contribution over K/P.
Very few K's and P's get drafted at all, so he should be pretty stoked to even get drafted given his position.
He can make an impact on his rookie contract and look to cash in (for a punter) with his next contract.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
