There’s a lot more that goes into being a good OL coach besides raw sack totals. Especially with a QB like Burrow who will always take more than the average QB.
Just my personal opinion, but I think Joe Burrow's decision making and sheer talent made up for a lot of Taylor's deficits last year.
We're reminded of how his playcalling isn't that good without Burrow in there.
As for Pollack, we need to see how this new OL actually performs, which we won't see until the regular season.
However, thus far with the guys being put out there, it's been a disappointment.
What improvements have we really seen from any of the depth?
When it comes to Volson, I see the same guy I saw leading up to the draft last year.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
