Normally tackles count as well as assisted tackles. Your seeing something wrong, or he hasn't got the settings right.

Points are for Sacks, Forced Fumbles, Fumble Recoveries, Interceptions, and Touchdowns. 

Still points should be pretty low every week but its more than 7 players who will get those stats every week.
