Nah, not a conspiracy theorist. How much does a defensive tackle understand about the defense as a whole?
This could well be about fit. Lou wasn't hired till late February 2019, Wren was drafted in April. Didn't leave a lot of time for him to analyze and evaluate the personnel he inherited, devise a system to implement here, and prep for the draft. Wren may be more suited for 5-tech than 3-tech.
Or the Steeler defense sucks balls and they're desperate enough to take on our rejects.
Also, hasn't he been hurt most of his time here?
Wren seems like a nice kid and I wish him well. Just think of it as a trade for Mike Hilton.
