Then you look at his college receiving stats. Over his final 2 seasons at Louisiana Tech he had 225 receptions for 3085 yds and 21 tds. So he had to be doing something right.
Then you see that not only did he make an NFL roster his rookie season, but only two other rookie WRs (Schuster and Cupp) had more receptions than Taylor's 43. So, again, he must have been doing something right.
And, finally, his 9.3 career punt return average is top ten among active players (min 50 ret)
I am starting to like the guy a lot.
Interesting point, Hurst has underachieved especially as #1 pick but argument is he needs more reps etc.. Taylor as a backup had a solid rookie year with receptions vs. targets ... and has not been used that much after especially targets.... more time on the field I think he can produce...
