Your math fails. Read my post again: I took the average of the two bonuses and projected the total amount from there.

If you take the average yearly income from the two different contracts, you get just over $14 million per season. I would have imagined the average income of Bates contract to come out of the high side of that at around $15 million. What contract have the Bengals written that shows you different calculations?
