I understand the thought process to it but if the guy has no background as a safety or linebacker covering passes then he is most likely not going to be worth a damn in pass coverage. So just dropping him into coverage just because it is a play other teams use is not necessarily a good idea specially if he is your best pass rusher and the other d-linemen are struggling to get pressure on the QB.
