That said, I know a lot of things went our way for us to make it, but we won’t need that many to go our way with an offensive line.

Bates and the D also helped, as well as Boyd and Higgins, but Chase and Burrow only need complimentary players on offense because they make other players’ lives so easy.

Unfortunately, the players won’t see that and will go other places that offer them more money, only to realize that they’re not as good on their own and their careers get shortened, meaning they don’t make as much money in the long term, even though they made more in the short-term. I'd be more confident in that if we came out scoring 30+ a game this year. It makes last years offensive output look like a fluke in some ways.
