And he likes it here. I'd like a DT in this also, and right now I'd put a WR ahead of a TE. RB, I'm on the fence, but there will be some hard money decisions to sort thru and Mixon is one of them. This is a good year for RB also.
Even if Hurst is re-signed, a 3rd round pick for a TE2 who could blossom into a TE1 isn't crazy to do.
If you wanted to take a WR in Rd 3 and a TE later, that could be ok too, although I haven't looked too much at the late-round prospects.
Usually it's harder to find a TE with potential worth a damn in the late rounds compared to a WR. Either a blocking TE with no pass catching ability or a big receiver who can't block at all. Bengals need someone who could be both.
Maybe a guy like Rashee Rice out of SMU could fall to Rd 5? I've seen him mentioned in the 3-5 range, and he's pretty athletic and enough size. He might have enough potential as a WR4 on the team who could actually contribute some in the offense compared to the other backend guys the team has right now.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.
